The delegation visited the experts and scholars of the Academy of Social Sciences and Peking University for topic exchanges. During Guizhou, Yuan Huimin, director of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, met with the delegation. Director Yuan briefed on Guizhou¡¯s poverty alleviation, education, resource development, and transportation in recent years. On behalf of Ms. Motrale Prasso, South Africa¡¯s national civic organization, said that there are many beneficial experiences in Guizhou Province that are worth learning in Africa. The two sides are involved in poverty alleviation, education cooperation, youth exchanges, economic development, women¡¯s status, and agricultural industry development. There are many places where you can share communication. I hope this trip to Guizhou will learn more and seek opportunities for cooperation. The two sides also exchanged opinions on the poverty alleviation situation of non-governmental organizations in Guizhou.
In discussions with the Provincial Poverty Alleviation Office and the Provincial Women¡¯s Federation, the delegation learned about Guizhou¡¯s poverty alleviation experience and the protection of women¡¯s rights. Everyone highly praised Guizhou's achievements and experience in poverty alleviation. It is generally stated that Africa is also working on poverty alleviation. China and Africa have broad areas for cooperation in poverty alleviation. African friends are very impressed by China¡¯s priority in supporting education and medical development in the development of poverty alleviation. We hope that there will be more opportunities for China to learn from China¡¯s concept of poverty alleviation and cooperation.
In the new rural construction demonstration site in Huamao Village, Zunyi City, the delegation visited fruit and vegetable sheds, ceramic production bases and farm tourism projects, and was very interested in the ¡°corporate plus farmers¡± cooperation model in the construction of new rural areas in China. This model involves issues such as farmers' participation, agricultural technical training, product marketing, and logistics transportation costs. During the inspection of Changsi Village in Nanjiang Township, Kaiyang County, Guiyang City, the local escorts introduced the demonstration team to demonstrations of how to fight. Everyone praised the promotion of specialty agricultural products through the Internet. Stephen Praghi from South Africa stated that e-commerce is a very worthwhile area for African countries with a majority of agricultural population.
